Arizona Review
Greys Anatomy 14 x 03 “Go
Big or Go Home”
We need to brace ourselves. I don’t think the hotness will stop.
Thank goodness for Carina
Deluca and her dazzling chemistry with Arizona Robbins, the pair is delivering
the sexiness goods.
Much as we want to pay respects to Harper Avery for we saw him for the final time this ep; Bailey was fired but this will be a secret
forever; Amelia has finally gathered her superhero support team; Jolex are occupied with ‘hoco pro’, Meredith has reunited with her shrink and is in a certain “mood,” I will zero in on Arizona and Carina and all
the amusing repartee between them in 14x03.
Incidentally, pain and pleasure were the buzz words in this
episode. Let’s see why…
Curative sex
April was overwhelmed by Arizona's raving during morning
hospital hall talk. Arizona was all about a curative level of sex that she
experienced with Carina the night before. The kind of sex that fixes things and
relieves pain. So ecstatic was she, that April had to stop her from TMI. In
layman’s terms, maybe we can guess it was ‘mind blowing sex’? Maybe? Too bad it happened off screen and we
can only imagine, for now.
Seems like Carina's study on how sexual stimulation can
relieve pain is not just limited to patients but it applies to the bedroom as
well. Arizona's low spirits seemed to have been "cured" by Carina's
healing via sex. Memories of Eliza have been erased on a cellular level. In
Arizona's mind, she was gone.
Even
if they clocked in a limited number of minutes in this ep, even if they were
not intimate scenes in the bedroom, those minutes produced sizzling sensuality. The Arizona-Carina hotness did not cease.
Spotting the GSpot
Ben's
patient had only been dilated 4cm when she had been in labor for 20 hours. They
could not give her an epidural (it caused her low bp) nor oxytocin (love
hormone) because she's severely allergic
to it. Her cervix was being too stubborn. Little did Ben know that consulting
fetal genius Arizona and the new OBGYN Carina (with the groundbreaking sexual stimulation
study), was the best thing he could have
ever done.
Carina
was proposing natural oxytocin because no one is allergic to that. Arizona
thought this meant nipple stimulation, but nope. Carina meant stimulation down
there. As this talk went on, the
spectators had these reactions: Andrew was embarrassed, Ben was bewildered and
hesitant and Richard Webber was curious.
Carina
was practical as she questioned why let the body go through unnecessary pain and
risk of complications, when the body has its own built-in mechanism to
speed up this process.
Carina
wowed her audience of four with her perfect summation: "It isn’t a mistake
that God put the G-spot in the birth canal"
"I’m
only saying : what gets the baby in, also gets the baby out."
Arizona
Robbins quickly refuted Carina's practical but unconventional method "it's
just not how I do things."
Which
Carina funnily refuted back, "Well she thought differently last
night"
Hmm, so does this mean that in
her doctoring practice, Arizona believes more in the scientific way of doing
things? Was she medically conservative in the sense that she didn’t think that
the natural stimulation process was the solution? So does it mean that in the
bedroom, she is okay with natural stimulation??? Hold my beer. I’m laughing
internally.
This
was one of the funniest scenes this ep
with Carina's recommendation to induce labor by stimulating the woman’s most sensitive
bundle of nerves.
Pain Can be Pleasurable
Arizona recommended a C-section but this was shot down by the patient because they did not want to take a risk, not especially using general anaesthesia. They wanted to do something else. Enter: Carina's solution. Don’t we just love it that Carina has the right answers nowadays? …
Carina had another chance to rub in that Arizona gave in to her suggestion and it was a delight to watch.
"So, you decided to use my technique?" I swear when she said this, she was totally checking out Arizona's um...back..
Arizona gave in to Carina's recommendation but didn’t want to
admit it. She attributed it to the husband and patient's decision to get some
alone time. She even said that
eventually, the patient will undergo a C-section.
This
prompted Carina to candidly retort: “I don't understand why Americans are so prude, when you add
pleasure to pain, pain can be pleasurable. In the bedroom some people even ask
for pain.”
And you see Carina's hand land beside Arizona, on the table. Bravo to Greys, they are making this increasingly sensual.
I
bet you could barely breathe during this scene. Carina can get you excited every time, just as she does Arizona.
“A
hair tug. ……a well-timed bite on the neck..”
I
had assumed that Arizona was already too turned on by Carina’s slight kink talk, the
heat was radiating through the screen, you begin to wonder where this will lead to next, until the patient's husband interrupted the
hotness as he called for Arizona’s assistance. Dang.
Notes:
Did
you notice that Carina has this naughty habit of making Arizona squirm with her
smooth sensual advances in the 'very' appropriate places? With Carina around, I suggest that Arizona learn the skill of snapping out of sexual
reverie and return to professional demeanor.
Contrary to the opening V.O. which says Doctors are not gods,
well these two doctors are Goddesses.
Carina
and Arizona are bringing on the heat without even a bedroom scene. Will we see them
have intimate sexy scenes in the bedroom?
I truly hope so. Problem is, with their extraordinary hotness, the TV might
just burst into flames.
Enjoying this exciting pairing while it lasts. Admittedly, I’m
having so much fun.
