Oh, Come On!

Arizona Review 14 x 06
Greys Anatomy "Come On Down To My Boat"

Let this episode be called : The ep where everything happened.

Bailey’s swiping moment for Maggie, the guys taking a sick day and spending the day on Jackson’s new  boat, Meredith being nominated for a Harper Avery, Webber and Bailey organizing an intern-attending mixer, Amelia going to bed with her arrogant but hilarious tumor mentor,  Jackson being inspired by cutting up fish and tying knots to sponsor a $125 million research drive for  innovation, De Luca meeting an intern from his past, Jo is in the running for chief resident and decides to divorce her ex husband, Maggie ditching her tinder date, Ben doing the reveal of his firefighter plan, Arizona successfully extricating a gun from a patient’s vagina, Arizona practicing that teen mom attitude, and  the most intriguing of all that keeps tweeters tweeting frustration:  Arizona witnessing Owen and her current or sort of ex-flame Carina k.i.s.s.i.n.g in the supply closet.

Before I demandingly yell “now what was that all about???” I need to put things in perspective. Let’s take it scene by scene.

Tinder Times

Arizona’s first scene was her tindering together with April and Maggie (the forlorn trio) , on the lookout for possible dates.

This was where she told April that she broke up with Carina “by accident.”

“I needed some space in my home because Sofia is coming home but apparently, she thinks I broke up with her so here I am swiping to have sex with a sexy Italian orgasm scientist.”

April: That's a pretty bad accident

Arizona: It shouldnt mean anything. I should be getting ready for Sofia.

I gather Arizona is all about Sofia since she got that text that her beloved daughter’s is moving home.  But she was bothered about Carina, too.

Pistol Out

Even in the O.R., she was worried about Sofia growing up too fast. Nope she didn’t want to face the inevitable reality of Sofia having teen problems one day.

April: How dumb do you have to be to do something like that for a guy?
Is it really hard to find a boyfriend who isn't in jail?

Arizona: She’s only 18, she’s already shot herself over a man. Sofia’s gonna be a teenager in like five seconds. I am not ready for puberty and dating and idiot boys or idiot girls.”

Carina did watch Arizona’s successful  surgery, impressively pulling out that pistol from the patient’s vagina.

I was thinking it was sweet of her to watch Arizona at work. Or maybe she was just curious about the unusual surgery going on.

After the surgery, Carina was applauding how Arizona successfully extricated that pistol out of the girl’s vajayjay, and we can’t miss how Arizona beamed at her looking up to the gallery from the O.R. floor.

This woman has got some feelings for the hot orgasm scientist. I think. ;)

Future Teenage Mom

April was gushing at how Arizona scolded that “gungina” (as Carina labelled it) patient and that she would be a good mom to a teen.

Here are some excerpts from Arizona’s outburst:

Arizona: You could’ve shot yourself in the spine. Or you could’ve shot someone else in the head. No one. No man or woman is worth that kind of risk….If you were brave enough to do something like this for your boyfriend then you can be brave enough to say no to him. You got it? Do ya?

April was amazed, “You are gonna be an amazing mom to a teenage girl”

Arizona: We were never that stupid, right?

Judging from how Arizona verbalized her sentiments that day, I figure that in the midst of her worries and preparations for Sofia’s arrival, she was also disturbed about her woman concerns.

This last scene was a scene we were not ready for.

Arizona was walking in the hospital hall discussing with Andrew de Luca who was about to move out of their shared house because of Sofia coming home and it was obvious that Arizona was not okay about Carina when she admitted, “With Sofia and Carina, I’m kind of a mess.”

And then  lo and behold, Arizona and Andrew saw some not-so-private action in the supply closet between Owen and Carina, and I don’t think anybody was  ready for that surprise.

So. Carina is sexually fluid too. And does it mean she did not take Arizona seriously enough, that she quickly recovered from their break up and shifted to kissing Owen??

I was staring at Arizona’s bewildered reaction. I guess she was hurt one way or another while Deluca was utterly frustrated.

I truly wonder how Arizona will react next ep.

Notes:

Will Carina be Owen’s girlfriend? I sense there might be some sort of tension between these three next ep.

Didn’t Owen know that Carina and Arizona were dating? Oh yeah he said he hasn’t met Carina before.  With all due respect to Owen, I just hope he stays in his lane though. Arizona and Carina only broke up by accident. I hope Arizona doesn’t get hurt much with this. It seems that she does like hot Italian orgasm scientist. Still does.

That promo pic for 14x08 of the elevator scene with  Owen, Arizona and Carina is intriguing right now. Awkward?

Well, i guess with the genius Krista Vernoff on board, we need to prepare to be surprised from now on. Seems likely that from 14x05 onwards, we have to expect the unexpected. Admit it, we are hanging on to our seats and are absolutely engaged. Okay worried or maybe some are annoyed,  but still engaged, which is most important.

I know things were meant to be temporary between Carina and Arizona but we did not expect it to be this short.  Hoping that things work out well with them soon enough cause I need more sexy times ;) Besides, Arizona will be busy with her daughter’s homecoming.  Lots to look forward to on that.  And hopefully, in future episodes, they also focus on her brilliance as a surgeon. There is, after all, so much more that defines this beloved multi-dimensional character.

All ready for Greys 300 and hoping we see Callie (even flashbacks are okay) because she was so much a beloved part of Greys.

Raising a glass  to 3,000 more episodes of the best TV show ever.

Cheers to Shonda, Betsy, Krista and the lovely cast that I love with all my aorta and ventricle.

The New Normal

Arizona Review 14x04
Greys Anatomy “Ain’t That A Kick In the Head”

Although this intense  episode centered on Amelia's  heroic conquest of her brain tumor, the episode had significant Arizona moments that not only provided lightness to this heavily dramatic episode, it also established foundations for future plot lines.

The episode also gave us a glimpse into how  Arizona's character has evolved. Aside from us seeing how  loyal and caring Arizona is as a friend, we also saw via her advice to her best friend, how she had coped with all the challenges that came her way.

Best of all,  she got a very welcome surprise in between all the sexy time with her oozing-with-sexiness new lover.

The Diagnostic Truth

All the tension and drama was in this powerful first scene in the O.R.  where Amelia was about to undergo surgery, and to boost confidence amongst themselves, all the doctors and nurses did that iconic superhero pose.

The Beach Boys song was reverberating in the O.R. while the talented but arrogant neurosurgeon performed brain surgery on Amelia.

Arizona was in the gallery watching their colleague's surgery and Carina was seated beside her.

It seemed to remind us that this infamous tumor was found during the process of this groundbreaking research by Carina Deluca.

Carina: I still don't believe it.

Arizona: That masturbation diagnosed the brain tumor?

God works in mysterious ways, indeed Carina. Masturbation was the reason that Amelia's tumor was diagnosed.

Carina is a blessing not only to Arizona but also to Grey Sloan.

This is how the two lovers  kid about the heavy moment of Amelia's brain tumor surgery.

Tumor Talks

The  team huddle, consisting of our beleaguered team of five fine surgeons Mer, Alex, Maggie, Arizona and April, trying to cope with Amelia's post op results,  use the healing power of laughs.

In this chat, they came to terms on how the tumor affected Amelia's random, sometimes irrational decisions  in the past.

April was not amused with the rowdiness,  but  Arizona  defended their cheerful tumor talk huddle to her best friend April,  "You have to laugh in situations like this,"

This led me to remember Arizona's past painful experiences and how she had overcome them and emerged a stronger, happier person.. All challenges that came her way was enough basis  to give wise, sound  advice to April.

One thing to note too was Arizona's contribution to the tumor talks
where they referred to  persons or decisions equated with "tumor" as in brain tumor which has somehow affected the behavior and had distorted the  decision making process of a person.

In jest, she humorously blurted out "Eliza" as tumor.

Maybe this was her way of saying Eliza was just caused by a "tumor,"  and her leaving was caused by it too? Whatever she meant by that, you be the judge. To me, it seemed that was pounding the final nail in the coffin of the deceased Ariliza story.

Arizona and April Discuss a New Normal

This touching scene in the Trauma room further solidified the Aprizona friendship.

Arizona chanced upon April lying on the e.r. bed. She knew her friend was struggling with something, so she sought to find out what was wrong. Here we see how caring and loyal Arizona is as a friend. As she consoled April, we realize that she was the right person to give April advice for she had a similar painful experience.

April was deeply troubled about going home if she won't have Harriet. With her and Jackson's new arrangement, it meant she wouldn't see Harriet half the time.

Arizona: I remember that. It's really hard at first.

April: At first?

Arizona: Yeah. eventually, you have a new normal. And eventually you miss her on the nights that you don't have her but you know that she's  somewhere safe and loved and the ache is less. And then maybe some new  grown up fun comes into your life and maybe there's some joy in that.

April: I don't want a new normal. Don't you have Italian sex waiting for you?

Arizona: I do (laughs)

It was truly touching to see Arizona's support and opening up about how she adjusted too to her own new normal.

This is the first time we have heard her open up about her own experience and it is making me emotional to realize that even though she willingly gave way to Callie to bring Sofia with her to New York, Arizona had to adjust to the difficult situation of  being separated from her daughter.

Since the separation was unavoidable, she had to make a choice to sacrifice herself so that all can be happy. But we did not really see how this affected her emotionally. Now she let us in on her emotional state during those times and triumphantly found the sensible way to cope with it.  After all, she did come out of it a happier and better person who knows how to appreciate the new joys that come her way.

Also, it was truly admirable to see how sincere she was as a friend to April. Arizona doing the signature Grey's way of true solidarity in friendship, a.k.a. laying in your best friend's bed to comfort her, gave even more extra substance to her character. The Aprizona friendship is stronger than ever.

The Surprise During Hot Italian Sex

Next scene, we see the sexy new duo in bed, presumably in the aftermath of hot Italian sex, having some residual sexy time. The tenderness of this scene deserved multiple rewatches. Don’t tell me you didn’t notice how Carina’s caresses  were just really sweet.

The sweetness was cut though by a joyful interruption. Arizona got a text message with a surprise message for us: Sofia is coming home!

“It’s my daughter Sofia. She wants to move home.”

I couldn't believe my ears. And I cannot help but notice Arizona's  delight at the news. Our baby Sofia is coming back.

Until now, I do not know how to express how ecstatic  I feel about this. How we have missed Sofia on screen! The last time we saw her was  in Callie's house when Arizona gave Callie her blessing to take  Sofia with her  to New York. Sofia was totally absent in Season 13 and finally, we will see her again.

That scene finished though with me not knowing how to interpret Carina’s reaction. I'm sure she was okay with it. She's cool.

Questions after Arizona broke the news:

1.Why was Sofia coming home? Did she not like New York?
2. What did Callie say about this?
3. Will Sofia come home alone?
4. Will she stay with Arizona permanently?
5. What will the repercussions be on Callie's stay in New York?
6.How will this affect Carina’s and Arizona’s relationship? Will Sof like Carina?
7. So how hot was the hot italian sex they had that night?

Looking into the future, will Callie miss Sofia? Enough to come back and stay in Seattle too, eventually?

Hold up. No hysterical reactions please :)  Yes, I heard the news about Sara becoming a regular on Madam Secretary. Coupled with Krista Vernoff's statement of Sara not coming back this S14, I have lost hopes of Callie coming back this season.

My dreams have been adjusted and  are now geared toward series end. As a Calzona fangirl veteran, i have learned the art of suspending hope and making myself happy with the dream of a good series ending for my ship.

I realize I’m thinking too far into the future when there is so much to celebrate right now. Sofia is coming home. And I cannot wait to see her again. Her mama has missed her so much.

Although Arizona did mention that she has learned to get used to her new normal, here was her daughter sending her a message that  evidently made her happy. We cannot deny  how that expression of delight couldn't be erased from Arizona's face when she read the good news.

Sure, Arizona is living and enjoying the single life right now, dating and sexily mating, but I'm quite sure that she is even more joyful at the return of her beloved daughter. No sexy time can compare with that.

Arizona is, after all, a mother first and foremost. I'm sure we can expect more exciting times with Sofia and Arizona.

Having seen the sneak peek for next episode, Arizona is on tinder ready to date again as she said she "broke up" with Carina accidentally when she told her of Sofia's return.

Having seen various synopses of future eps where Carina is still a guest star, i have no doubt Carina is here to stay.

A note on Calzona prospects

It is great news that Sara has become a regular on Madam Secretary, the inevitable question is: what will happen to Calzona?

Nobody really knows. Nobody ever knew after she posted that tweet about taking a much needed break from Grey's. She deserves the fulfillment and happiness that her new path will give her. She has already mapped out her activity  for this tv season but who knows, maybe she can still appear on Grey's one day in the next seasons to come.

All I’m really hoping for now is that Calzona will still get that happy ending as they were meant to have. Maybe that will still happen when Sara comes back for that one final episode for a  Calzona happy ending.

Meanwhile, maybe it is high time to be 100% all in for Arizona's happiness. She is the remaining half of the ship that's left with us, there is nothing we can want more than pure happiness and peace for her.

As she intimated her new normal to April, we can rest assured with the fact that she has already made peace with her new situation and has already adjusted to it. Let's let her be happy and have fun as she deserves, too.

Excited to see more fun with Arizona and Sofia this season. And more sexy times with Carina.

Till next time.

Pain and Pleasure

Arizona Review
Greys Anatomy 14 x 03  “Go Big or Go Home”

We need to brace ourselves. I don’t think the hotness will stop.

Thank goodness for  Carina Deluca and her dazzling chemistry with Arizona Robbins, the pair is delivering the sexiness goods.

Much as we want to pay respects to Harper Avery for we saw him for the final time this ep;  Bailey was fired but this will be a secret forever;  Amelia has finally gathered her superhero support  team; Jolex are occupied with ‘hoco pro’,  Meredith has reunited with her shrink and is in a certain “mood,” I will zero in on Arizona and Carina and all the amusing repartee between them in 14x03.

Incidentally, pain and pleasure were the buzz words in this episode. Let’s see why…

Curative sex

April was overwhelmed by Arizona's raving during morning hospital hall talk. Arizona was all about a curative level of sex that she experienced with Carina the night before. The kind of sex that fixes things and relieves pain. So ecstatic was she, that April had to stop her from TMI. In layman’s terms, maybe we can guess it was  ‘mind blowing sex’?  Maybe? Too bad it happened off screen and we can only imagine, for now.

Seems like  Carina's study on how sexual stimulation can relieve pain is not just limited to patients but it applies to the bedroom as well. Arizona's low spirits seemed to have been "cured" by Carina's healing via sex. Memories of Eliza have been erased on a cellular level. In Arizona's mind, she was gone.

Even if they clocked in a limited number of minutes in this ep, even if they were not intimate scenes in the bedroom, those minutes produced sizzling sensuality.  The Arizona-Carina hotness did not cease.

Spotting the GSpot

Ben's patient had only been dilated 4cm when she had been in labor for 20 hours. They could not give her an epidural (it caused her low bp) nor oxytocin (love hormone) because  she's severely allergic to it. Her cervix was being too stubborn. Little did Ben know that consulting fetal genius Arizona and the new OBGYN Carina  (with the groundbreaking sexual stimulation study),  was the best thing he could have ever done.

Carina was proposing natural oxytocin because no one is allergic to that. Arizona thought this meant nipple stimulation, but nope. Carina meant stimulation down there.  As this talk went on, the spectators had these reactions: Andrew was embarrassed, Ben was bewildered and hesitant  and Richard Webber was curious.

Carina was practical as she questioned why let the body go through unnecessary pain and risk of complications,  when the body has its own built-in mechanism to speed up this process.

Carina wowed her audience of four with her perfect summation: "It isn’t a mistake that God put the G-spot in the birth canal"
"I’m only saying : what gets the baby in, also gets the baby out."

Arizona Robbins quickly refuted Carina's practical but unconventional method "it's just not how I do things."

Which Carina funnily refuted back, "Well she thought differently last night"
Hmm, so does this mean that in her doctoring practice, Arizona believes more in the scientific way of doing things? Was she medically conservative in the sense that she didn’t think that the natural stimulation process was the solution? So does it mean that in the bedroom, she is okay with natural stimulation??? Hold my beer. I’m laughing internally.

This was one of the funniest  scenes this ep with Carina's recommendation to induce labor by stimulating the woman’s most sensitive bundle of nerves.

Pain Can be Pleasurable

Arizona recommended a C-section but this was shot down by the patient because they did not want to take a risk, not especially using general anaesthesia. They wanted to do something else. Enter: Carina's solution. Don’t we just love it that Carina has the right answers nowadays? …

Carina had another chance to rub in that Arizona gave in to her suggestion and it was a delight to watch.

"So, you decided to use my technique?" I swear when she said this, she was totally checking out Arizona's um...back..

Arizona gave in to Carina's recommendation but didn’t want to admit it. She attributed it to the husband and patient's decision to get some alone time. She even  said that eventually, the patient will undergo a C-section.

This prompted Carina to candidly retort: “I don't understand why Americans are so prude, when you add pleasure to pain, pain can be pleasurable. In the bedroom some people even ask for pain.”

And you see Carina's hand land beside Arizona, on the table. Bravo to Greys, they are making this increasingly sensual.

I bet you could barely breathe during this scene. Carina can get  you excited every time, just as she does Arizona.

“A hair tug. ……a well-timed bite on the neck..”

I had assumed that Arizona was already too turned on by Carina’s slight  kink talk, the heat was radiating through the screen, you begin to wonder where this will lead to next,  until the patient's husband interrupted the hotness as he called for Arizona’s assistance. Dang.

Notes:

Did you notice that Carina has this naughty habit of making Arizona squirm with her smooth sensual advances in the 'very' appropriate places?  With Carina around, I suggest that Arizona  learn the skill of snapping out of sexual reverie and return to professional demeanor.

Contrary to the opening V.O. which says Doctors are not gods, well these two doctors are Goddesses.

Carina and Arizona are bringing on the heat  without even a bedroom scene. Will we see them have intimate sexy scenes in  the bedroom? I truly hope so. Problem is, with their extraordinary hotness, the TV might just burst into flames.

Enjoying this exciting pairing while it lasts. Admittedly, I’m having so much fun.

Love In the Time of MRI

Arizona Review

Grey's Anatomy  14x01  "Break Down the House"
14x02 "Get Off on the Pain"

Arizona's first words  at the first episode of Season 14 was: "She fired Eliza". As she confided to best buddy April in a hospital staff assembly headed by Bailey. She was worried and impatient. She wanted to talk with her girlfriend. She needed to know how much time she had to wait before she can talk to her girl about the shocking development.

But Eliza was G.O.N.E. No text, no notes. Seemed that after she was fired, she had not made contact which left Arizona worried. She wondered how much time she could still stand Eliza’s silence.

As the understanding girlfriend, i imagine she didn’t want to pressure Eliza into confiding in her.

Good thing April was there for the distraught Arizona. The Aprizona friendship is very much alive.  Arizona was just not ready for Eliza suddenly leaving. Of course, from last season finale's shocking termination of Eliza, we at least expected some tender loving consolation from the girlfriend.

We read Arizona's mind. We expected Eliza to let her help lick her wounds. Nope that didn’t sound dirty at all, Arizona. Turns out, Eliza just suddenly disappeared without notice. Her apartment / hotel had no trace of Eliza. Arizona was "ghosted."  It hurts to admit  but in simpler terms, she was abandoned by Eliza.

Teddy Altman the Calzona shipper is back

No one was more delighted to welcome Teddy Altman than Arizona Robbins who was too excited to see once again the top Callie & Arizona shipper this side of Grey Sloan.

At her dejected  stage, Arizona was more than relieved that Teddy suddenly popped up during lunchtime to say hi. It was cool that Teddy was back not just to comfort Owen, to be an advocate for Megan Hunt, but also to be a welcome comforting presence  for Arizona.

In less than one minute, she was able give Teddy a recap of  her love life adventures and misadventures: how Callie went to New York and took  Sofia and that she managed to find love again but then the person  got fired and she left too. Teddy was the sounding board she needed, "I’m so glad you’re here!"

Wait, why did she say Callie took Sofia? Lemme just correct that. Callie didn’t take Sofia. Arizona let her take Sofia to New York as a loving gesture to make Callie happy. Now that’s clear.

The Girl in a Bar

Isn’t it just cute that when Arizona tried to drown her sorrows by going to a bar and drinking alone, that someone hot approaches her and trades knowledge of what being ghosted means?

Arizona didn’t hide incredulity that she might just be the one who wasn’t even aware of such a term. For the kind of person that she is, it felt like she just could not bear the thought that humans were even capable of just leaving another person without notice at all, and at that moment, it seemed to be a common occurrence.

"When did this become something that people do to other people?"

Carina, didnt introduce herself to Arizona (their intros to each other happened off screen), labelled such people as 'unsensitive,' Prompting Arizona to correct her word selection. So the  flirting went on by way of correcting grammar.

Arizona’s Waiting While They're Talking Italian

There was a plot twist to this new entanglement  though. Surprise! Carina is Andrew DeLuca's sister!

It must have been an ordinary day and ordinary scenario in Arizona and Andrew's shared living space, where Andrew comes home catching Arizona having sexy time with a girl. Thing is, the woman involved was his sister Carina, and Andrew was not exactly happy about it.

The awkward situation was  hilarious and Andrew and Carina arguing in Italian until episode 2, with Arizona caught in the middle of the discussion,  clueless on what they were saying, was surely the funniest and most adorable scene of the premiere.

Maybe Andrew's shock led to his negative reaction but Carina could care less about Andrew's adamant concerns. She defended herself articulately in Italian and as soon as Andrew stormed off, she and Arizona sexily picked up where they left off.

Carina ‘s Cool Study

Funny how Arizona was surprised upon seeing Carina next day, having a meeting with Chief Bailey. Turns out she is an OBGYN. And she found out about it from Andrew DeLuca ,who, like us, realized that Aizona and Carina didn’t have much to talk about the night before. They were too busy, obviously.

So beneath the sexiness, Carina was in serious mode, proposing a uniquely interesting study of the body and the brain before, during and after orgasm.

She said that drug companies have discovered  that there's money to be made in the development of the equivalent of a female Viagra. She said she wanted to push her personal fascination in the role that sexual stimulation can play in pain control for women. In her cute Italian English, she wants to achieve both ends with the study, “two pigeons, one rock.”

In plain terms, her study will involve people to masturbate in MRI machines so that they can be observed as they orgasm. All of this in the name of science. The concept was a go. Chief Bailey was all for it. Ergo, this means we shall be seeing Dr Carina DeLuca at Grey Sloan for some time.

Arizona's new love interest is an OBGYN at Grey Sloan conducting a mighty interesting study and she isn’t just sexy. She has set her sights on a noble objective for science.

Notes

The big question in many people's minds right now is: why did Eliza just leave Arizona without notice?  High and dry? Did she not care about Arizona enough to just leave her hanging like this?

I know that Eliza has always been meant to be temporary and a transitional love interest,  but to see Arizona as despondent as she was, it was unfair. But then again, who are we to judge Eliza’s need for time and space after a personal tragedy.

Whatever her reasons were, I just hope she did give Arizona a heads up that she was leaving. I don’t like seeing Arizona in pain even if she was being funny about it.

It was refreshing to meet a character like Carina Deluca. Not only is she way too hot, she's got sexy brains that can study brains during sexy time.

I welcome this second woman to enter Arizona's life, post  New York-bound Callie.  She is the second ‘in-the-meantime’ person in Arizona’s life and she gives her own brain-brand of excitement.

That Carina is Andrew's sister, makes me expect a lot more hilarious scenes, especially in their shared home.

Most notable scene of the ep was when Arizona dropped by the MRI room and Carina showed her how orgasms affect the brain. Right from the time that Carina shut the door and stood behind Arizona, face close to Arizona’s, I could not stay still for this scene was oozing with hotness.

It was the first time that I have ever seen Arizona in such a sensual scene that no red blooded lesbian wouldn’t be fascinated by it.  And it wasn’t even a kissing scene.

Carina going for Arizona's ear and neck was just overwhelming. Kudos to this scene, we discovered a new person who has steaming hot chemistry with Arizona.

In a short span of time, Carina was able to make Arizona  happy again after her disappointment caused by Eliza's abandonment.

After being broken for a short amount of time, she is rebuilt.

This may mean that Arizona and Eliza's relationship was not too deep. And this is not at all surprising.

This may prove true with all the new women that Arizona will meet eventually before Callie returns.

She may have fun and may be sexually compatible with them, she may even get seriously attached to one or two, but I think all the women to come into her life will all be transitionary.

Not being biased here,   this is a wise guess, but we all know whom Arizona is meant to be with in future, so it is best to let her have all the fun she can with different women, different experiences. Let her embrace life's beauty and ugliness. Let her feel the fun, the pain of abandonment, the excitement of new relationships, what the heck, let her feel love in all its forms. Lengthy or short lived, it will all be okay.

All for the goal of being whole and realizing who she is really meant to be with in life.

It's a delight that EP Krista Vernoff has said that Greys will have more fun and lightness this season and I am so looking forward to see Arizona as the sunshiny, roller-blade girl from seasons past. Before the Season of Darkness-- season 9.

We miss that fun, happy Arizona and it is truly exciting to see her in that state again this season.

Looking forward to a lot of fun and hopefully some focus on her brilliance as a double certified surgeon. True that the premiere all but focused on her love life and sex life, as if limiting her character's dimension, but let us hope that in future eps, they will also focus on her medical genius, which is as important as her being an attractive and love-worthy human being.
The opening voice over of Greys S14x01 was applicable to Arizona:
“The painful irony for doctors is that we often have to make you sicker in order to heal you.

And if all this heals unevenly, we have to re break it. If the scar is too thick we have to scrape it off and create a new wound. We break you down to rebuild you.”

Grey's Anatomy season 14 opened with our Arizona on the brink of breaking…but she was certainly rebuilt at the end of the premiere. Rebuilt, sturdy, and ready to have fun again.  Who knows, maybe there is a possibility of Carina observing Arizona’s brain in the MRI room. Wink. Sorry, I was too affected by the MRI hotness.

Ready for more hotness ;)
